Featured Olive Oil Producing Country – Every month, City Olive features a different olive oil producing country. This month we are featuring a selection of our new to us and the US French Olive Oils.
Featured Gourmet Product – Every week, City Olive features a selected product such as an olive oil, vinegar, tapenade or tea. The product is offered at a discount and in-store samples are available for tasting. This month we are featuring Savini Tartufi from Italy. Savini truffles are world renowned and served only in the finest restaurants.

Saturday, September 18th,10:00am -11:30am and Sunday, September 19th, 5:00pm-6:30pm Join us at City Olive for an exclusive opportunity to meet Fran Gage, San Francisco writer, baker, and Olive Oil aficionado. In her latest book, The New American Olive Oil, Fran profiles 15 artisanal Olive Oil producers from California. Beautifully written and illustrated, Fran’s book also includes 75 mouth watering recipes, all featuring Olive Oil!
Start or end your weekend at City Olive with light refreshments and a chance to meet Fran, taste oils and purchase a signed copy of her new book. Reservations are required for this event as space is limited. There is a $10.00 non-refundable fee, which will be applied to the purchase of Fran’s book. Register now
Wednesday, September 22,2010 7PM. Join us at the table for a fun and informative evening class about olive oil. Traveling by taste to various countries, we will guide you through the different characteristics of this delectable liquid gold. Also learn about the health benefits of olive oil and characteristics of the Mediterranean diet from Maryam Naziri, a registered dietitian from Galter LifeCenter. Light refreshments will be provided. Previous events
June 30, 2009, 7 p.m. – Andrea Bezzecchi, owner of the prestigious Acetaia San Giacomo located in Campagnola Emilia, Italy, conducted an in-store tasting and class on the making of his family’s “Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia”. In addition to the tasting, our guests were served light hors d’oeurves provided by the Hot New dining spot, Ceres’ Table and Lambrusco wine from the region. This was our second year of hosting Andrea – a very special event!
Axis of Hope, June 8th 7:00-9:00pm. City Olive was proud to host this fundraiser to raise money for a school and orphanage in Kegali, Rwanda. Three amazing young adults from Whitney Young High School will be traveling to Rwanda later this month with Axis of Hope.
